New Chinese Art was setup in 1999. We are dedicated to making work by Contemporary Chinese artists available internationally for viewing, exhibiting and purchasing. We feel that it is important that Chinese contemporary art works be shared with the world – and the internet is the most far-reaching, international way that allows an interested global audience to view Chinese contemporary artists’ works.
We want to make viewing and purchasing work by Chinese contemporary artists as easy and accessible as possible. New Chinese Art has a wide selection of hundreds of artworks, making the website an excellent resource from which to enjoy Chinese contemporary art. Enjoy a good browse - see what is happening in the contemporary Chinese art scene, and if you are interested in purchasing, most of the work is available for sale.
Contemporary Chinese art is hot! Globally important art magazines have rated Chinese contemporary art as one of the art markets with the most potential. Many of the artists shown at New Chinese Art are young Chinese artists, who are still relatively undiscovered. Now is a good time to get into their works now, before their works also become very high-priced. The Chinese artists our panel has selected have a lot of potential.
We have selected many Chinese contemporary artists who are still young, so their work is still relatively affordable. Many of the artists we show will be some of the most famous Chinese artists of the future – and New Chinese Art is the place to get their work, while they are still young.

New Chinese Art has selected the Chinese artists that appear on our website from a selection of thousands of Chinese contemporary artists, based in China and internationally. We are always on the lookout for new Chinese artists. If you are a Chinese artist and you think that your work is suitable for our website, you can submit images of your work to our selection committee at: submitartnewchineseart.com. Please note that our selection committee will not select all artwork for our website.
